Mighty as Sir Gaheris

Sir Gaheris (ガアーイス Gaaaisu) is the Arthurian Times version of canon character, Mighty the Armadillo. He is one of the Knights of the Round Table of Camelot in service to King Arthur.

Personality

Isolated at a young age because of his superhuman strength, Mighty grew up under constant teasing and bullying. Despite this, he remains quite optimistic and rather sensitive to other people's feelings. He tries to see the good in everything and is not one to hold grudges. He has a soft spot and protective nature towards anyone that can be seen as weak or innocent and can't help but step in to protect those who are unable to protect themselves. It is because of this that he is very protective of Rivalen, whom he sees as very innocent and caring.

He is also close friends with Gawain, Gareth and Agravain.

Abilities

Gaheris is quite easily the physically strongest of the Knights. As the physically strongest knight, Gaheris wields no weapons, instead he uses his fists.His armor is much stronger than the other knights, which is needed when Gaheris uses him incredible strength, and he can roll into a ball to shield himself.

Background

Born into poverty, Gaheris was gifted with incredible physical strength, which only served to isolate from other children. Seeing the potential in Gaheris' might, King Arthur took the young boy in and he was trained as a knight. He is immensely protective of his allies as well as anyone he sees as innocent and weaker and is quick to shield them from harm. This can easily be traced back to the guilt he feels from failing to find his parents and lost younger sister after they were all separated. As such, he is quite protective of his squire Rivalen.

Gaheris appears in Tales of Knighthood.

Trivia

• Gaheris is named after the Knight of the Round Table of the same name, who was brother to Gawain, Gareth and Agravain, nephew to Arthur and half-brother to Mordred.
