Basic Information
Group Type Demon army
Founder Tzan Ren
Leader Tzan Ren
Status Inactive (formerly disbanded)

The Shadow Legion was a fearsome army of Shadow Demons under the rule of Tzan Ren, the Shadow Demon Sorcerer, who also originally founded the group. Following Tzan Ren's demise at the hands of Lang Yan, the group disbanded and went their separate ways. However, a dark new threat, known only as the ominous "Shadow" - none other than Tzan Ren's astral form - calls the Legion back together to take over Earth. They were the antagonists of arc 3 of City Shadows.

Despite a long and hard campaign and the near success of their invasion of Los Angeles, one by one, members of the Legion were taken down by the Shadow Strikers until Tzan Ren himself was completely obliterated. An Gou was the only one of the Legion's core members to survive and joined up with the Strikers.

Background

Long ago, Tzan Ren once commanded an army of Shadow Demons called the Shadow Legion. Legends have been recorded of their capabilities and pure power, but following Tzan Ren's fall at the hands of Lang Yan, the Crystal Demon Sorceress, the group disbanded and the three commanders Hou Yi the Dark Archer, Jun Bing the Ghost Sword, and Wei Gong the Siege Master each went there separate ways.

However, a new figure appears commanding the Shadow Legion and is none other than Tzan Ren in astral form, released from his crystal prison following Lang Yan's death. He reunites his Shadow Legion with the intent of conquering Earth, finding the 12 Signs and most importantly, making his son, Linos, suffer.

Throughout their missions on earth in gathering the Signs, the commanders experienced mostly failures and minimal successes. Eventually, Tzan Ren initiated his invasion of Los Angeles, during which each of his commanders fell one-by-one to the Shadow Strikers. Linos continued on to face his father alone and despite an agonizing struggle, Tzan Ren was defeated. Hei Gou was also killed in the final confrontation, leaving An Gou as the sole survivor of the Legion's core members.

Trivia

  • Coincidentally, the Shadow Legion and the Shadow Strikers both start with "Shadow".
