Jörmungandr, also called Ouroboros, the Midgard Serpent and the World Serpent, is a guardian spirit. He is a water spirit and is a gigantic serpent-like creature so large that his body coils around the entire globe.
Information
As the World Serpent, Jörmungandr's body circles the entire globe beneath the ocean. His body is always moving around the Earth, causing the tectonic plates on the Earth's crush to move as well. His body is so long in fact that he is able to grasp his own tail in his mouth. Legend says that when he lets go of his tail, the world will end and that he will rise up to the ocean's surface and spew poison into the sky.
Trivia
Jörmungandr is based on the Norse mythological creature of the same name.
Jörmungandr was intended to be the Domain Spirit of the Sea, but it was later changed to Leviathan.
Jörmungandr was also intended to be a competing love interest for Plezira against Leviathan, but this idea was scrapped.
