Plot

Each chapter focuses on the early life of six characters.

Chapter 1: TAU

“If a man remembers what is right at the SIGN of profit, is ready to lay down his life in the face of danger, and does not forget sentiments he has repeated all his life when he has been in straitened circumstances for a long time, he may be said to be a complete man.[1]

With technologies improving, the arms race for advanced weaponry is rising in intensity. A small and privately funded warfare company, Dycorp, desperately tries to gain the lead by creating their own artificial intelligence with the help of genius scientist Dr. Baxter. Witness the birth of the Tactical Automative Unit 300.

Chapter 2: Axel

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.[2]

Axel faced constant abuse by his mother until she finally abandoned him at an orphanage in Metal City. Follow Axel through his childhood as he learns to reopen his heart to others.

Chapter 3: Pan

“Ambition has but one reward for all: A little power, a little transient fame; A grave to rest in, and a fading name![3]

Everyone knows the story of Mammoth Mogul and his rise and fall from power, but what of his apprentice, Pan? Born Graham Bell, "Pan" is the last surviving descendent of the House of Bell. Gifted with a magic and heritage he could never understand, Pan learns to control his powers while coming to terms with being the sole survivor of his people.

Chapter 4: Jessabel

“Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light.[4]

Jessabel was found on the streets by Axel when she was only 5 months old and brought to the orphanage. So what happened before that? Where was her family and who left her on the streets?

Chapter 5: Jack

“Don't leave home without your sword - your intellect.[5]

The only life Jack has ever known was the orphanage of Metal City. Haunted by the lost memories of a family he never knew, Jack feels he has never truly belonged anywhere. Dealing with bullies, Jack must also face the memories of his family and find where he belongs.

Chapter 6: Deathstalker

“Virtue is bold, and goodness never fearful.[6]

There once was a young boy with a loving family. But one night, that boy's life changed forever when his family is brutally slaughtered. On his path for revenge, Deathstalker is born.
